Looking forward to Crossover Festival!

The Reckless Abandoners are delighted to be performing at the inaugural Crossover Bluegrass & Old-Time Music Festival on the weekend of 12-14 May 2017. This is set to be a fantastic event with an impressive line-up of bands (including the marvellous Rachel Eddy, pictured above), a full roster of instrument workshops, quality food outlets, camping facilities and no doubt a massive amount of jamming opportunities.

It’s been organised by the Abandoners’ very own Julie Cross (double bass) and her daughters Eleanor Wilkie (fiddle) and Emily Cross (friend of the band & occasional dancer/bass player!). These gals are putting their money where their mouth is and putting on the kind of festival they like to go to – with music that includes both bluegrass and old-time genres (and no doubt a bit more) in a quality venue (Clonter Opera Theatre) set in the Cheshire countryside. They’ve put together a stellar line-up of bands (see poster below) and we’re really looking forward to being part of what’s sure to be a smashing little festival. Early bird tickets finish on 28th Feb, so now is a good time to book yours – see you there!
